If you could sit down with your younger self, what would you tell them?
Maybe something practical like: buy Apple shares?
Looking back to when you were younger helps you reflect on how far you’ve come.
Of the roads and paths you didn’t take as well as the mistakes you might have made.
But I’m not a big believer in regrets.
I think people usually do the best they can, with the life skills and experiences they have at that time.
🦋 Focus On The Long Game
I admit I was impatient for success when I was younger.
I wanted a successful career and good relationships as soon as I could get them.
That didn’t always work out the way I hoped!
Now I see the value in taking a longer view to my life and not getting stressed if I don’t see success straight away.
Consistency rather than intensity of your effort brings lasting results.
🦋 Self Development.
Every day, you are building your future self.
I get that now.
So I would probably tell my younger self to lay off the chardonnay and let go of the limiting beliefs about exercise and meditation.
Investing in yourself is the greatest gift you can give to yourself and the people you care about.
🦋 Connection is Everything.
I would tell my younger self:
You will never regret spending more time with the people in your life that you really love.
Never take for granted that they will always be there, because unfortunately they won’t be.
What would you tell your younger self?
I love hearing from you. 🦋
Sharing our stories shows how much alike we really are.
Take care, Soph x
